Our Story
How did we
get here?
We started as a Big & Tall store in 2008. Those first years were spent fitting people the standard rack ignores. That teaches you something the rest of the industry misses: clothing is never only clothing. It’s whether you walk into a gym feeling like yourself.
In 2014 we turned our focus to sports bags. That was a progression, not a pivot — people who are big and tall need accessories built to scale too, and a bag is one of those accessories. Same problem, different form.
In 2022 we moved into sporting goods and soft goods, and The RUN became what you see today. The reason had been in front of us the whole time: most of the big and tall customers in our network were athletes. We had been outfitting the same people for years — we just started carrying the rest of what they needed.
What we didn’t have in 2008 was the language for it. The vision was there; we couldn’t say it out loud yet. Every step since has been the same idea getting clearer — and it’s still coming together.
